Leaders in the Arizona Mushroom Club

President:  Dr Chester Leathers.  “Chet” is a professor emeritus of Arizona State University in mycology.  He started the Arizona Mushroom Club several years ago.

Membership/Treasurer:  Sandy Melgaard.  Sandy has served in this capacity for several years.  If you are interested in joining, this is the person to contact.

Newsletter Editor:  Larry Morehouse.  Material may be reproduced from the newsletter provided the source and author are acknowledged.  The Newsletter is published approximately three times a year.

Web:  The current web site is maintained by Larry Morehouse with help from Scott Bates (the creator of the original club website) .

Books:  Rose Mary Leathers.  Rose Mary, as a service, keeps on hand books for Club Members to purchase to assist them in identification of mushrooms. The books are obtained through the Los Angeles Mushroom Club Bookseller at a 40% discount on all books ordered. This savings are passed on to our Members The Club keeps nothing for itself, nor does Rose Mary.

Field Trips:  Terry Beckman.  Terry travels Arizona in search of areas that would accommodate members in search of mushrooms.  He tracks precipitation in areas where forays will be conducted.  If you know of a good mushroom area and are willing to share, let Terry know.
